The way that my debts have built up since college, it seems like I have been paying for the fun that I had. I remember how carefree life was. I had a student loan to cover most of my expenses, and a little bit of help from my parents on the side. Life was good until I was through with school. Like many members of my generation, I was unlucky. I graduated just as the dotcom bubble burst. I was highly skilled and constantly underemployed. My student debt grew and grew. consolidation rates were too high for me to afford with my current income. There was just nothing that I could do. Finally, something came through for me. I had a friend in the high-tech industry who hooked me up with a job. It was luck, and nothing else. I had the right connections. Suddenly, I could pay for my student loan debt consolidation. I can't tell you what a relief that was. I came out of college idealistic and eager to tackle the world, but the world was not ready for me. As soon as I entered the workforce, I was completely broke. My education did nothing for me except to make it hard for me to get low end jobs. The high end jobs were not hiring. My student loan debt consolidation had spiraled out of control. I had no money. It's tough to be hopeless at the age of 25. Getting the new job, along with the student loan debt consolidation, saved my optimism. It's strange to think how often it just simply comes down to money. Now that I have enough of it, I am fairly happy.
I signed up for a student loan debt consolidation, but it did knew very little good. Student loan
If you are facing high student loan payments, I don't have to tell you that things can be pretty bleak. A lot of the time, the student loan debt consolidation just doesn't go far enough. If you went to community college or a state school, things might be fine. If, however, you used your student loans to go to an expensive private school, you might be out of luck. Even with student loan debt consolidation, sometimes the payments are too high. If you cannot get a good job, you might be faced with thousands of dollars of debt perpetually hanging over your head. It can get pretty grim.

Head Start programs?
Head Start programs are designed to help very young children of economically disadvantaged families thrive in the school setting. The services are offered to preschool children in an effort to help them get ready for their kindergarten and elementary school experiences. The main focus of the organizations is to help preschoolers develop math and reading skills very early. Through Head Start programs children of disadvantaged families have an opportunity to learn some of the fundamentals of reading and math before their educational careers even begin. Children who get a good jump start in their reading and math skills experience more success than those who do not. Services for Head Start programs in some areas begin as early as birth depending on the family’s needs. The organizations recognize the importance of learning from a very young age. While the notion of learning beginning at birth (and even before) is not really a new concept few other agencies and organizations have offered services provided by Head Start programs. Getting a real jump start on education can begin very early in life and the services offered are just the thing children from disadvantaged families need. One of the most important aspects of the Head Start programs is family involvement. Parents are active participants in the planning and implementation of program services. Though the child typically goes to a building and attends preschool-type classes parents are still actively in the mix and they are encouraged to continue the interventions at home. Head Start programs do include many social development activities that prepare little ones for appropriate interactions once they reach school age. Social skills should not be overlooked and these organizations help children work on their interactions with others. It is never too soon to encourage your child to learn. Head start programs are fantastic tools to help children and families work together to live and learn.
The money collected for the developmental services for underprivileged preschoolers comes from grants. The Head Start programs fund agencies that provide the services to children in the community. The agencies are both non-profit and for-profit organizations that are equipped with the staff and supplies necessary to complete the mission of Head Start programs.
The little ones are not the only individuals who benefit from the learning experience. The Head Start programs are designed to help parents learn about child development as well as other aspects of bringing up a child. Topics include education, nutrition and social skills.

sell used books?
sell used books. If you're a college student, you're well aware that education is expensive! On top of tuition, the cost of college textbooks is not insignificant. You may spend upwards of $2,000 for books in just one year. At the end of the semester, you may want to keep some, but generally, you'll want to sell books to recoup some of your cost and put that money into next semester's books. Selling used books is a notoriously unprofitable business. Here are some tips on maximizing your return when you're selling used books. One way to minimize your losses when selling used books is to advertise on campus through their intranet. Since other students are needing your books, they're also aware that the bookstore will charge them 70 – 80% of the new book price, while only paying the seller 50%. Therefore, if you advertise a price between 60 – 65%, both you and the buyer will save. When sell used books, there are other ways to advertise besides the campus intranet. You can list all the books you're selling on a flyer, noting the condition of the book and your selling price. Hand out your flyers to friends. Word of mouth works as well. Other seeming losing propositions in sell used books occurs when you sign up for a class and decide to drop it. Now you've got a book in mid-semester that no one's looking to buy until the next semester. Not necessarily. There's always someone who signed up for the same class within the same period in which you dropped the class. Include this book in your emails and flyers and you may well find an eager buyer for your used but “clean” book at 75% of the new cost. Advertising on your website is another innovative way to get the most for your used textbooks. A blog can attract lots of readers with your interests and in your age group, particularly college students. Just put a link on your main page, labeled “My college bookstore” to lead your visitor to your online flyer. Shipping books at postal book rates is cheap. You can see that selling used books need not be such a loser!
Given that the college bookstore typically gives you half of the cost you paid, then resells to another student for anywhere from 70 – 80% of the new price, selling used books back to the bookstore makes your loss substantial, while they are making a 25% profit on a resale of the same book they first profited when they sold to you. Perhaps unfair, but that's the way it works.
When sell used books, it's important to keep that book in as new a condition as possible. Avoid writing in the margins, highlighting and try your best not to spill coffee on it. Don't let the dog chew on it or let that burger drip on the pages. A “clean” book makes selling used books easier and will command a higher price. Everyone concerned makes out in this deal.

How to Use Bonuses to Boost Your Sales?
by: Alicia Forest To boost your online sales, create partnerships with colleagues, and increase the overall value of your product or service, add a bonus (or several) to your offering. Here are 5 ideas for bonuses you can use to increase your sales: 1. Offer a special report. Take several of your articles with a common theme that complements your offering and compile them into a special report. If you don't have articles that seem to fit, think of additional information that you did not include in the original product and write it up as a special report. Use your word processing software to write it, then convert it to Adobe PDF to make it look nice (you can convert your documents into PDFs for free at http://convert.neevia.com/). Or offer a special report written by a colleague of yours with information that complements your offering. 2. Offer an audio. If you are selling a product that is education-based, offer a follow-up teleclass to answer any questions that your customers may have about the material. Or record a special audio to go along with your product that offers some additional material that you didn't get to cover in the actual product itself, or that is an introductory or overview of the material covered in your offering. 3. Offer a resource file. If you want to increase your customer's satisfaction with your product, offer a quality resource list, so they don't have to waste time and money searching for where to go or who to hire to follow your sage advice. Put together a list of the service providers, websites, ezines, books, magazines. etc. that you personally use (or that come highly recommended to you by your trusted colleagues) and that are related to your product or service. Create a PDF of your compiled resources to offer as a bonus. For example, one bonus that comes with my 21 Easy & Essential Steps to Online Success System™ is Alicia's 6-Figure File of Recommended Resources, which is a list with links of who and what I personally use to make my business run successfully. Just like so many self-help books do, create and offer a workbook, action guide, success journal, or the like to go along with your product or service. Pull out the main points of your material and create exercises to deepen your reader's understanding, or create sections in which your reader can add their own thoughts and ideas as they work through your information. 5. Offer a discussion list. You can do this a number of ways, but the easiest and the one that will require the least amount of effort on your part is to create and offer a discussion list via Yahoo Groups or Google Groups. It's free and can help to build a community of people who have YOU in common, and it gives them a place to offer each other support. You can pop in and out at your leisure, maintaining and strengthening your relationship with your customers. If you haven't tried tacking on a couple of bonuses to your offerings, do so and see what happens. My bet's on increased sales... Copyright 2006 Alicia M Forest and ClientAbundance.com. 4. Offer a workbook.
Another way to do this is by offering a membership site (which is an article for another issue) as a very valuable bonus. For example, with 21 Easy & Essential Steps to Online Success System™ I offered Charter Membership spots for a reduced membership fee as a bonus.

The 7 Principles of a Successful Affiliate Marketer?
There are certain affiliate principles that are common to all extremely successful affiliates. These principles are not plainly stated by these successful affiliates; rather, they are found as characteristics in their work, writings and interviews. I have synthesized these principles into a list I call The 7 Principles of the Successful Affiliate. It important to note that each successful affiliate closely and meticulously adheres to each one of these affiliate principles. Some of these principles may seem ridiculously obvious, but you would be amazed at how many affiliate marketers either... • don't know these principles (failure to read and study) • skip or skimp on them (take the easy or cheap route) • or, ignore them altogether ("I'm going to do it my way.") ...resulting in their own failure or greatly diminished profits. If you are involved in affiliate program marketing and want to greatly improve your results, you must learn and follow these affiliate principles. It is not a hobby. It is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It is not a "do nothing, make money" proposition. It requires hard work on your part. The harder you work, the more sales you will make. 2. Successful Affiliate Program Marketing requires financial investments. You must be willing to spend money to make money. You need to spend money on professional training resources, affiliate products for "first hand knowledge", a well-planned and executed website, and solid advertising and marketing strategies. If done properly, your investments will make you huge profits. 3. Successful Affiliate Program Marketing requires education and preparation. You must tap into professional training resources. You need to read and study the proven models. With knowledge of these, you can replicate the success of others and increase your sales. 4. Successful Affiliate Program Marketing requires knowledge of the best affiliate products and merchants. You must closely examine the pros and cons of each you consider. You need to determine which ones will benefit you the most. Quality increases quantity of your sales. 5. Successful Affiliate Program Marketing requires a well-planned and executed website. You must satisfy your viewers and the search engines. You need to gain high rankings and presell your viewers with content-rich information. If you do this properly sales will increase. 7. Successful Affiliate Program Marketing requires ongoing familiarity with the latest strategies and techniques. You must keep up to date on the cutting edge in the industry. You need to never rest in your quest to be the best. Knowledge is power; power brings you more money. These are The 7 Principles of the Successful Affiliate. If you are not prepared to implement them to the best of your ability, you are wasting your time as an affiliate. Do something else! If you are ready to be successful, make a copy of these affiliate principles and affix it to the wall right next to your computer. It will serve as inspiration and a reminder of what you want to accomplish. 1. Successful Affiliate Program Marketing requires work. You must treat it as a job. It is not a pastime.
6. Successful Affiliate Program Marketing requires constant traffic interested in your message and effective tracking methods. You must attract huge numbers that stay on your website to read your message. You need to know what methods work well and which are wasting your advertising dollar. Happy viewers from reliable sources bring you more sales.
